Cultural activities: Odd semester of 2019


With the storming of freshers on the new campus, the excitement and energy in the air was immense.
From faculty to students, everyone felt they were part of something bigger than themselves.
The cultural events started out at the fortnight of the fresher's arrival, getting together a list of activities and events.


The events were
1) LIT-A-THON: A literary triathlon of Masti mein Mastemau(questionnaire), group story-telling, Spell-Bee.

2) Treasure Hunt: As the name suggests, it comprised of various clubs leading the participants to the final prize with several rounds of fun.

3) Bindass Bol: An informal debate, on topics which are worthy, but rarely discussed.

4) PUBG mobile: There's really no need to explain this!

A geeky epic master pc race Gaming moment was one of the highlights of the 4th weekend of the new semester with gaming competition in the games
1) Call of duty : Modern Warfare
2) Need for speed: Most Wanted 

Every society conducted multiple rounds of auditions for the volunteers of the clubs. 
The cultural club's wings were assigned names, the wings are:
1) Crotonia : The Literary Society 
2) Zephyr : The Dance Society
3) Goonj: The Drama Society
4) Estrella: The Music Society
4) Utkrisht: The Fine Arts Society
5) Afterdark: The photography Club

Soon after, it was followed by Literary Extravaganza Weekend, by Crotonia.
A free entry event for all, to further engulf students in exciting activities.


It consisted of Group discussion followed by Pictionary with roaring participation from the students.

Overall the cultural society has been very active, and the general cultural trend of the college is in very good hands. With a lot of crucial ground work laid for the future of the college, it was one of hell of a ride, This wraps up the cultural activities of the odd semester of 2019, until next time!

Equinox 2020: Deciphering the Origins

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow conducted its first technical fest ’ Equinox ’ on 7th February 2020 to 9th February 2020. Even though it was our first endeavor, it was a grand success. Equinox World Model United Nations 2020

Crotonia - The literary society of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow in association with Equinox:The Annual Techfest of IIIT Lucknow organized the first edition of Equinox World Model United Nations, a medium to raise awareness amongst today’s youth about youth-centric issues and help them make a sustainable decision. The committee under simulation was All India Political Parties Meet which is primarily called by the Government/Prime Minister to try to bring upon consensus on a bill (which the government is either going to table in the Parliament in the upcoming session or has already tabled in the parliament but is facing a lot of disruption from the opposition there) through a private and discreet meet of all parties.
