Equinox: The Techfest of IIIT Lucknow (Reveal)

Equinox, IIIT Lucknow’s annual tech fest is the paradigm of celebrating all things tech and beyond. Celebrating the coder, the developer, the reader, the learner, the leader. Equinox presents them a platform to exhibit their ideas and build upon them, to guide their unrelenting thoughts into a reality. Upcoming with its 1st edition, Equinox is there to test minds and transcend the norm. The very 1st edition of Equinox comes power-packed with a tantalizing fusion of never before seen events along with the classic headliners.

This three-day technical fest of IIIT Lucknow showcases a plethora of events ranging from coding competitions to overnight hackathons, from powerful gaming to minds at war. The first edition of Equinox, “Deciphering the Origins” is aimed at being bigger, bolder and better than all.

Equinox World Model United Nations 2020

Crotonia - The literary society of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow in association with Equinox:The Annual Techfest of IIIT Lucknow organized the first edition of Equinox World Model United Nations, a medium to raise awareness amongst today’s youth about youth-centric issues and help them make a sustainable decision. The committee under simulation was All India Political Parties Meet which is primarily called by the Government/Prime Minister to try to bring upon consensus on a bill (which the government is either going to table in the Parliament in the upcoming session or has already tabled in the parliament but is facing a lot of disruption from the opposition there) through a private and discreet meet of all parties. The AIPPM is also called when a matter of national importance needs to be discussed by the government with all political representatives to take their suggestions and act more effectively by having the backing of most parties. Eduthon 2020: A Weekend Well Spent

P articipating in Eduthon , conducted by IIITL was a great experience. It was an Education-Themed Hackathon which is unique in itself and got my creative juices flowing. I liked this theme because it was relevant to the current scenario in the world, and it was relatable too, because I am a student too, right? Being able to solve problems related to education using technology, seemed exciting and challenging at the same time. There were prizes for the best All-Girls Team (which is very rare, by the way) and also various sponsors' prizes which was quite a lucrative offer. B efore the hackathon even began, we were invited to attend a lot of educating talk-sessions conducted by the pioneers of the tech world. The ones that I liked were " We are all Data Scientists " by Krish Naik and " Brand building and leveraging Linkedin " by Madhav Bahl . These were insightful and gave me a new perspective.
