Republic day celebrations 2020

Republic Day is a day where acts of bravery are rewarded with medals both to the military and to civilians. The armed forces display motor cycle rides and gifts are given to children. The spirit of the day focuses on the independence of India and celebrations conclude with a ‘fly past’ by the Indian Air Force where planes leave trails of smoke in the colours of the Indian flag.
The event started out by our respected dean addressing the audience, and carrying out the flag hosting session and the lighting of the lamp.

On the joyous occasion of Republic Day, The sports society organized the "Marathon for National Unity and Integrity" which was open to all students and faculty.

The cultural societies of IIIT Lucknow conducted a large event with the intention to celebrate the day by kindling the feeling of patriotism and nationalism in the students of the institute through nostalgia and the present scenario of the country.

The marathon was followed by an open mic session conducted by Crotonia, the literary society, where many students came participated to show off their talents ranging from motivational speech, thoughts of the day.

Followed by the soulful music society, Estrella, conducting a group song and a beat boxing remix.

Soon after, came in the exhilarating performance by the Zephyr, the dance society, inducing power, courage and patriotism through their powerful steps.

The wonderful actors of Goonj, The drama society came in next, with their moving, affecting, emotional Nukkad Natak on a social issue that left an impression in the minds of the audience.

Following that was, an emotional performance, by the lead singer to perform a beautiful, heart-touching solo.

With everyone's eyes being numb and voices being speechless, in love for the nation at this point, it marked the end of a very successful event. Jai Hind!

Eduthon 2020: A Weekend Well Spent

P articipating in Eduthon , conducted by IIITL was a great experience. It was an Education-Themed Hackathon which is unique in itself and got my creative juices flowing. I liked this theme because it was relevant to the current scenario in the world, and it was relatable too, because I am a student too, right? Being able to solve problems related to education using technology, seemed exciting and challenging at the same time. There were prizes for the best All-Girls Team (which is very rare, by the way) and also various sponsors' prizes which was quite a lucrative offer. B efore the hackathon even began, we were invited to attend a lot of educating talk-sessions conducted by the pioneers of the tech world. The ones that I liked were " We are all Data Scientists " by Krish Naik and " Brand building and leveraging Linkedin " by Madhav Bahl . These were insightful and gave me a new perspective. We also had some other contests like MyOctoCat where anyone could par
